Louisville Kentucky Wedding Videography

Your wedding film should be a genuine reflection of your celebration that allows you to experience all the emotions of the day over and over again.

That’s why we focus on documenting real moments in an authentic and unobtrusive way for your wedding video.

Couples who hire Sarah for their wedding photography are invited to add videography to their package as well! Sarah’s wife Joyce (she/they) is the videographer on our team; as a married couple, we work seamlessly together to fully document your wedding or elopement!

You can find our FAQ with all the information you’ll need at the bottom of this page.

“The video Joyce created for us will be something we cherish for the rest of our lives. An unapologetically queer, beautifully filmed and edited ode to our love that feels so deeply personal and joyous. We have not been able to watch it through yet without crying happy tears. Apart from marrying my lovely wife, Sarah and Joyce are the best decision I have ever made.”

Wedding Videography FAQ

What style of videography do you all do?

Joyce’s work balances the nostalgic feel of old home movies with more modern documentary influences. She focuses on real, honest moments and prioritizes capturing footage that will allow you to experience all the emotions of the day. We look for clips that make you feel something, which means we might choose a more emotive out of focus shot rather than a more technically perfect clip that doesn’t carry as much feeling. We believe that quality video doesn't have to come at the expense of you actually getting to enjoy your wedding day.

Can I pick my own music or do you choose the music?

We license all music so that everything is on the up-and-up and so you can share it online without your video being taken down. We love to hear about what kind of music you love and will absolutely run song options by you as we’re looking for the right one! We’re also happy to share the website we use to license with you so that you can browse tracks as well

Can I add any add-ons after I have signed a contract?

Of course! You’re welcome to add upgrades onto a contract up to one month before your wedding. However, you may not remove from any add-ons once the contract has been signed.

What is YOUR PRICING & payment schedule?

Our base rate includes a 3-5 minute cinematic film of highlights from the 8-hour wedding day put to music. 50% is due upon contract signing as a retainer and the final 50% is due one month before your wedding. You can view all pricing information here.

Can I add on extra hours?

The 8-hours of coverage are synched with Sarah’s photography hours. If you would like to add hours for one you would also need to add hours for the other if you have hired us both.

Can I add on raw footage of certain events?

Absolutely! Full, raw coverage of each event is $300 for up to 30 minutes. Examples of events would be the ceremony, toasts, or special dances. A combination of raw, full coverage of the ceremony (up to 30 minutes), toasts, special dances, and cake cutting can be purchased for $1000.

How many videographers will be at our wedding?

We’ve found that having a lot of extra people around on your wedding day can be overwhelming and make things feel crowded. So we keep it fairly basic! If you add videography to your photography package, you’ll have one photographer (Sarah) and one videographer (Joyce) present on your day. We also have extra stationary video cameras so that we can snag multiple perspectives of events when needed. If you add on raw footage of the special events there is a chance we’ll have an assistant join us just for that portion of the day.

How long after the wedding will I receive the film?

The cinematic film takes quite a bit of time to get just right, so officially it will be delivered in 8-10 weeks, although often we are able to deliver it sooner.

How many wedding or elopement films have you created?

So far we have done 16 wedding films together! We’re really proud of our work and are improving all the time. You can view all of our video work on Vimeo here. We’ve shared wedding films, music videos, some experimental art footage, as well as some iPhone/go-pro vacation videos.

What types of equipment do you use?

It shouldn’t be all about the equipment, but also... holy cow we have the Sony Alpha a7S III and it is a gamer changer! Like…I have never seen such sharp, accurate focus on a video camera before. We also have a Nikon z9, z8, and two Nikon d850s. We also use Rode shotgun mics on camera, field recorders we can plug into your venue’s soundboard, and lav mics when needed.

Do you offer elopement videography too?

We do! You can see elopement pricing here.

Some sweet messages we’ve received after delivering video:

Joyce, the video moved my mother and mother-in-law to tears. You captured the essence of the day and we all look great! I'll definitely be sharing the video with those who couldn't come due to covid.

We can't thank you girls enough for all the love and care you've put into our memory-making during our wedding/newlywed months. We LOVE!!!!!!! every image and video you captured, and so thoughtfully pieced together. We feel really lucky and grateful that y'all were so flexible, and down for the adventure on both our wedding day (that rain tho), and our elopement day. <3 <3 Big love from our little family, to y'alls.
